Bobby (Chocolate Fudge) Cake

2 cups sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup water
4 Tbs. cocoa
1 stick margarine
1/2 cup Crisco
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift together sugar and flour.  Set aside.

Mix together water, cocoa, margarine and Crisco.  Bring to a boil.

Add cocoa mixture to dry ingredients along with eggs.  Dissolve baking soda in buttermilk and combine with batter.  Stir in vanilla.

Pour into a greased 13"x9"x2" pan at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.  Leave cake in pan to frost.

Chocolate Frosting
1 stick margarine
4 Tbs. cocoa
1/2 cup milk
1 box confectionery sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla

Bring margarine, cocoa, and milk to boil.  Add the rest and spread on hot cake.

This was originally called chocolate fudge cake, but my cousin Bobby loved it so well that it was renamed!
